What you think about yourself is huge, especially how you view your body image. Obviously eczema, especially severe eczema can make someone a little less confident in their body image.
What do to: If you are feeling depressed, and think it may be linked to eczema visiting a shrink is a must. Nothing is more important then your life, you may have 5 days or 90 years left, you want to be able to enjoy each second without having low self esteem or even having suicidal thoughts. Suck up your pride and book a visit, make no excuses and be completely upfront with whoever you are talking to. Worst case scenario is that you do not enjoy your visit and will not be going back for anymore.
In the end, it is just eczema. Yes, how you look matters in the world, for better or for worse. We would all love to start with a blank slate and have our character determine who we are friends with and how our lives turn out, but that is just one aspect of the equation.
It is just your skin! Even if you have severe eczema most people worth talking to and being around will not judge you for it. Red lesions on your skin do not define you, how you react to it does.
