What you think about yourself is huge, especially how you view your body image. Obviously eczema, especially severe eczema can make someone a little less confident in their body image.
What do to: If you are feeling depressed, and think it may be linked to eczema visiting a shrink is a must. Nothing is more important then your life, you may have 5 days or 90 years left, you want to be able to enjoy each second without having low self esteem or even having suicidal thoughts. Suck up your pride and book a visit, make no excuses and be completely upfront with whoever you are talking to. Worst case scenario is that you do not enjoy your visit and will not be going back for anymore.
In the end, it is just eczema. Yes, how you look matters in the world, for better or for worse. We would all love to start with a blank slate and have our character determine who we are friends with and how our lives turn out, but that is just one aspect of the equation.
It is just your skin! Even if you have severe eczema most people worth talking to and being around will not judge you for it. Red lesions on your skin do not define you, how you react to it does.

Believe it or not, Eczema looks a whole lot like ringworm, despite the fact that the two illnesses are very different in nature.
Here is a picture of Eczema:

Here is a picture of Ringworm:

The two are not mirror images of each other, but I could not blame someone for getting them mixed up at first sight.
Eczema is much flakier than ringworm. Ringworm has raised ridges on the skin that form a circular lesion.
Eczema is almost always red and can be painful and itchy.
Eczema is not contagious in the least bit while ringworm is very contagious, so it is important for the safety and well being of others around you that you know what exactly is going on with your skin.
Nummular Eczema looks most like ringworm.

If you think you are suffering from either ailment do not be afraid to go to a dermatologist or doctor of some kind. Eczema is not very flattering as far as looks go and it can be itchy and painful. Ringworm is much worse in all aspects, and to top it all off it is very contagious.
Getting information online is great, but it is no substitute for speaking to an expert in real life that knows exactly what is going on. If you have decent health insurance all you should have to pay is a 10-50 dollar co-pay, which is a small price to know what is going on with your skin and what you need to do to get everything back to normal.

Having Eczema on your lips is always a tricky situation. One of the worst ways to aggravate your Eczema is to eat foods that are overly salty or acidic. These foods will obviously touch your lips before entering your mouth. Have you ever been in an ocean with an open cut? Have you ever squirted lime or lemon juice on a wound? You are doing the same thing every time you let salty or acidic foods touch your lip eczema.
You need to keep your lips moisturized throughout the day. I suggest putting petroleum jelly or other lip balm treatments on your lips 4-5 times a day.
Eczema is very similar to acne, you can try to avoid breakouts, but you cannot stop everything. If you do get lesions on your skin it is not the end of the world. Eczema lesions are painful and unsightly, but they will get better after a few days. Be sure to treat your lesions with care and do not take this situation lightly.
Keeping your lips moisturized is not only the best way to treat an eczema lesion, it is also the best way to prevent it. In the winter I notice my skin and lips get very dry, this is when Eczema likes to attack. Use lotion, lip balm… anything it takes.
There is no magic cure to eczema, you have to make sure you are taking the proper steps to treating and preventing your lip eczema.

Nummular Eczema is one of the more severe and aggravating forms of Eczema.

Symptoms of Nummular Eczema:

Coin shaped spots on your arms and legs. They are similar to blisters in size and they can also become crusty. The spots have been known to become very itchy, similar to a mosquito or ant bite. Your skin will be red, inflamed, and raw, altogether you are in for a bad day if you wake up with one of these lesions on your body

You will know when you have Nummular Eczema, that is for sure. It is what it is, you have to deal with it and take steps to prevent Nummular Eczema from popping up again.

Nummular Eczema Treatement:

It is important that you keep your skin moisturized. Nummular Eczema is not like acne, rashes, or other skin ailments, there are no cures or medicines that you can take. Use lotion liberally. If your Eczema is getting overly severe, do not be afraid to go to a dermatologist and ask him/her for their opinion. They know what they are doing and dermatologists can prescribe powerful treatments for Nummular Eczema that you cannot buy over the counter.

Causes of Nummular Eczema:

Isotrentinoin has been known to cause Nummular Eczema, but other than that no one really knows. It is just one of those things that happen. You are best off focusing on what you can control. Do not wear wool clothing and do not bathe too frequently if you want to keep your Eczema under control

Overview: Dyshidrotic Eczema is tough to say and spell, but even tougher to live with. People suffering from Dyshidrotic Eczema have ugly, painful blisters over their hands, feet, or both. There are a ton of popular skin conditions that plague millions around the world, Dyshidrotic eczema is not in their league as far as severity goes. If you have this problem, take it seriously. If you think you may have Dyshidrotic Eczema, go to a dermatologist before you finish reading the rest of this article.

Symptoms: Small blisters on toes, fingers, palms, and the bottom of your feet. These blisters may be painful, they might itch, or they might just look repulsive. Symptoms vary from case to case.

Other than blisters, you will have no other symptoms. Just as pimples are the only acne symptoms, blisters are the only Dyshidrotic Eczema symptoms. If you have blisters that look unusual in any way, talk to your doctor or dermatologist.

Causes: No one is exactly sure as to why Dyshidrotic Eczema occurs in the first place. Sweating has been known to increase the chances of coming down with this particular type of Eczema, but it is tough to control your sweating patterns. Stress has also been linked as a possible cause. Stress is horrible for your body in every single way. It increases your chances of suffering a heart attack, lowers your expected lifespan, increases the chances that you will have an acne breakout… Life is to short to be so wound up. Allergies have also been linked to Dyshidrotic Eczema. If you are drinking or eating something new, try cutting it out of your diet. You are what you eat, that goes for how you look and how you feel.

Other facts: Eczema is about as contagious as acne, which means it is not contagious at all. Dyshidrotic Eczema is very unsightly, which might affect you in social situations, but anyone who thinks that they will contract Dyshidrotic Eczema from someone else has no clue!

Almost anyone can contract Dyshidrotic Eczema at any time. Toddlers, senior citizens and everyone in between have been known to be plagued by this type of Eczema. The average age of someone who comes down with this is 35-40 years old.

Do not scratch your blisters if you have them! Scratching your blisters is the best way to make a bad situation worse. You will release the fluids in the blister, it will be a horribly painful process, and you will gain nothing other than temporary satisfaction.

Eczema anywhere on the body but eczema on hands is particularly unbearable. Apart from the fact that they are constantly visible to others, we use our hands everyday and when they are sore with open wounds we are a distinct disadvantage.

Following are a few effective methods to avoid eczema flare-ups and heal existing eczema on your hands.

1) Find a dermatologically tested skin cream that does not irritate your skin. Emollients are not always the way forward, although they are unperfumed they can cause irritation due to the heavy layer on the skin and not allowing the skin to breathe. If they cause you irritation try a 100% organic cream or a brand cream which has skin friendly ingredients such as vitamin E, aloe.

2) Find out what materials irritate your skin and avoid them where possible. Certain materials such as wool, polyester, rubber and latex are all known offenders. You could always take a skin test to find out for sure.

3) Keep your hands clean. Bacteria on the skin can aggravate existing eczema and cause irritation on clear skin. If you smoke, make sure you wash your hands thoroughly afterwards as nicotine and smoke are high on the skin irritant list. Use a gently, natural soap and moisturize your hands after washing. Frequent moisturizing is always a plus. However, there is a fine balance, don’t over moisturize. Around 3 times a day is sufficient.

4) Try not to scratch or pick the eczema on hands as this will cause itchiness. Any eczema sufferer knows this is nigh impossible but with a bit of discipline it can be achieved. Excruciating as it is when bearing the itch, it only lasts for a few minutes then it is gone. If your hands feel itchy, try washing them in cool water and moisturizing afterwards. This will get rid of the itch, which may have been started due to dryness itself.

If you follow these steps, you should be on your way to healing the eczema on your hands and reduce if not completely eliminate future break-outs of eczema. For a fully comprehensive, natural guide to eliminating eczema, continue to the full step by step guide to Remedy For Eczema On Hands
